Noite Cultural @BRASILEA

Three floors are reserved for the Museums Night 2022: On the ground floor we present the exhibition “Between two homelands”, a biographical-historical exhibition about our founder Walter Wüthrich and about the topic of migration. On the first floor we present in the the photo exhibition “Dreaming the Forest” photographs by award-winning Brazilian photojournalist Victor Moriyama about the Amazon. Between these two exhibitions BRASILEA becomes a tropical lounge with the interactive installation “Plant Inception” by Lina Lopes and Anais-karenin, specially designed for the Museums Night at BRASILEA:

6pm – 2am
Lina Lopes & Anais-karenin’s interactive installation “Plant Inception”, entitled “Can Plants dream?”, transforms BRASILEA into an interactive jungle.

6:30 pm, 8:30 pm
Guided tours through the exhibition “Between two homelands” on the topics war, migration and the relationship between Brazil and Switzerland (ground floor).

7:30 pm, 9:30 pm
Guided tours of the photo exhibition “Dreaming the Forest” by Victor Moriyama in collaboration with Culturescapes Amazonas 2021
(1st floor).

10 pm – 2 am
DJ Performance by Lory Lou (NE)
A true tropical cocktail, an explosion of colors and rhythms to dance and delight the ears

Food: Tapioca crêpes by Tapiocarhy
Drinks: Caipirinhas and more…

The Museums Night is an event organized by “Museen Basel” and the Department of Culture of Basel-City.
